I really don't know how to start this entry but I'm definitely sure that I want to write about this. So, I saw this post from sample room last week about their bloggers circle. it made me so excited but I didn't have time to focus on it because of work. That's why this holy week I really gathered my thoughts about it.
I've been into make-up and beauty when I was about to graduate in
4th year HS which was almost 5 years ago. It all started with
Michelle Phan, Tiffany D and other beauty gurus. Way back, I'd spend most of my free time watching make-up tutorials and product reviews on youtube. Nobody knew until my mom noticed how much I spent time being in front of my laptop. I was shy and felt kinda weird 'cos who would actually
understand my curiosity about make-up. I didn't even know to whom i'd share my thoughts about it. So when I entered college, I had the reason to be in love with beauty more. I was so active in my extra-curricular activity which was
dancing and we always had to fix ourselves up and do our own make-up. Right there and then I knew that I had to learn on my own.
I also started reading blogs esp.
Musings of a Muse then Temptalia's. I loved them so much. I was really inspired that I wanted to do my own blog too.
(I used to blog way back in HS but I was bullied about it. I actually don't want to elaborate on that part. :p haha.) with so much curiosity I tried searching for filipina beauty bloggers too. I first discovered
Shen's Addictions, then Martha of the Beauty Junkee, Ms. Sophie of beautynomics, Ms. Donna of My Lucid Intervals and more. I was such a die hard fan and wanted to meet them. I admire their writing skills and how they balance their time with other things esp. work.
(those random nights where i just want to explore about make-up:)
Luckily, I had the chance to meet them when I
started blogging last 2012. I knew that i really had to do it. I wanted to be active but time didn't permit me to do so. I was about to graduate that time and
thesis was too much of a hassle and headache but I TRIED. Summer came, I did
my own youtube channel and did make-up videos but then
again I stopped for awhile cos I started working. It came to the point wherein I had to think twice about what and why I wanted to pursue this.
Why do I want to enter this so called beauty blogging anyway? most people think it's
ALL KAARTEHAN. nothing more, nothing less. Yes,
the judgment of people made me such a coward. I was shy that people would come up to me and ask me, "
ano bang napapala mo diyan?" but then (as I always say before), my love for beauty is same as your love for NBA or fashion. you know? getting it? all you need to do is
RESPECT people. Whatever they want to do or whatever their passion is. My love for dancing has always been there ever since I was a kid but yes, things change and make-up made me realize that I have other potentials too. I may not be good in art but I can express my
creativity in doing make-up.
So yes that was LONG. haha but this is part of my entry because I really want to pursue beauty blogging. I wanna write and share my thoughts to other people, attend events and get to know how the businesses work, meet different kinds of people and maybe i'll soon have a career in it, who knows? I've always wanted to be in PR. :) I know sample room can give me that experience that I will never ever regret.
I hope I make it but if I don't maybe better luck next time? but
I won't stop trying. what also made me believe so much about Sample Room is that the people behind this are my inspirations in beauty blogging and also in real life.
SAMPLE ROOM is the hottest out there in the beauty market. You get to try the latest beauty products for free. This is best for people who want to get their
money's worth. It's really helpful because I won't have unnecessary spendings on stuff that later on I'd regret.
So amazing as it seems but never did I imagine that we'd have sampling out here in the Philippines. They're also so concerned with their consumers that's why I know it's gonna be worth it to be part of the circle. I may not have lots of reviews but I whole heartedly
support sample room. This will also make me more active in blogging and meet more ladies like me. I'd also get the latest updates about beauty and learn more on how I can be better in this field. :)
So there. Thanks so much for reading and best of luck to everyone who joined. :)
respect
xoxo
