I Want To Be Part of Sample Room's Bloggers Circle

I really don't know how to start this entry but I'm definitely sure that I want to write about this.  So, I saw this post from sample room last week about their bloggers circle. it made me so excited but I didn't have time to focus on it because of work. That's why this holy week I really gathered my thoughts about it.

I've been into make-up and beauty when I was about to graduate in 4th year HS which was almost 5 years ago. It all started with Michelle Phan, Tiffany D and other beauty gurus. Way back, I'd spend most of my free time watching make-up tutorials and product reviews on youtube. Nobody knew until my mom noticed how much I spent time being in front of my laptop. I was shy and felt kinda weird 'cos who would actually understand my curiosity about make-up. I didn't even know to whom i'd share my thoughts about it. So when I entered college, I had the reason to be in love with beauty more. I was so active in my extra-curricular activity which was dancing and we always had to fix ourselves up and do our own make-up. Right there and then I knew that I had to learn on my own.

I also started reading blogs esp. Musings of a Muse then Temptalia's. I loved them so much. I was really inspired that I wanted to do my own blog too. (I used to blog way back in HS but I was bullied about it. I actually don't want to elaborate on that part. :p haha.) with so much curiosity I tried searching for filipina beauty bloggers too. I first discovered Shen's Addictions, then Martha of the Beauty Junkee, Ms. Sophie of beautynomics, Ms. Donna of My Lucid Intervals and more. I was such a die hard fan and wanted to meet them. I admire their writing skills and how they balance their time with other things esp. work.

(those random nights where i just want to explore about make-up:)

Luckily, I had the chance to meet them when I started blogging last 2012. I knew that i really had to do it. I wanted to be active but time didn't permit me to do so. I was about to graduate that time and thesis was too much of a hassle and headache but I TRIED. Summer came, I did my own youtube channel and did make-up videos but then again I stopped for awhile cos I started working. It came to the point wherein I had to think twice about what and why I wanted to pursue this.

Why do I want to enter this so called beauty blogging anyway? most people think it's ALL KAARTEHAN. nothing more, nothing less. Yes, the judgment of people made me such a coward. I was shy that people would come up to me and ask me, "ano bang napapala mo diyan?" but then (as I always say before), my love for beauty is same as your love for NBA or fashion. you know? getting it? all you need to do is RESPECT people. Whatever they want to do or whatever their passion is. My love for dancing has always been there ever since I was a kid but yes, things change and make-up  made me realize that I have other potentials too. I may not be good in art but I can express my creativity in doing make-up.

So yes that was LONG. haha but this is part of my entry because I really want to pursue beauty blogging. I wanna write and share my thoughts to other people, attend events and get to know how the businesses work, meet different kinds of people and maybe i'll soon have a career in it, who knows? I've always wanted to be in PR. :) I know sample room can give me that experience that I will never ever regret.

I hope I make it but if I don't maybe better luck next time? but I won't stop trying. what also made me believe so much about Sample Room is that the people behind this are my inspirations in beauty blogging and also in real life.

SAMPLE ROOM is the hottest out there in the beauty market. You get to try the latest beauty products for free. This is best for people who want to get their money's worth. It's really helpful because I won't have unnecessary spendings on stuff that later on I'd regret.

So amazing as it seems but never did I imagine that we'd have sampling out here in the Philippines. They're also so concerned with their consumers that's why I know it's gonna be worth it to be part of the circle. I may not have lots of reviews but I whole heartedly support sample room. This will also make me more active in blogging and meet more ladies like me. I'd also get the latest updates about beauty and learn more on how I can be better in this field. :)

So there. Thanks so much for reading and best of luck to everyone who joined. :)

Product Review: Moringa-O2 's Malunggay Lotion

So here's another product I want to share cos I've been using this lately to feed my dry skin. :) It's Moringa-o's Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion <3 it's definitely love at first smell!!!! lol but seriously. I love this product so much that I never forget to use it everyday :)

This products claims to:

  • nourish & moisturize dry/sensitive skin
  • smoothen and soften your skin
  • renew your skin
  • be an anti-aging products
  • lighten your skin
from sample room's website. one of their best-selling samples and I totally agree!

more about the product ;)

This is produced by Ardent and also the same maker of Gluta-c which is also a famous whitening product in the Philippine Market.

When Ms. Sophie of Beautynomics posted a photo about this product, I immediately went to sample room's website to place my order. I was so excited and giddy to see that they'll be giving out a full size product FOR FREE. yes. all you have to do is pay for the shipping fee that's for only 100php. ;) really worth it!

So here's what I can say about the product:

  • SMELLS soooo good! same as elizabeth arden's green tea<3
  • Doesn't make me feel sticky throughout the day
  • moisturizes my skin
  • soft feeling after application
  • so cheap!!! only 129.75 php for a 125 ml bottle!
  • I have extra dry skin so it doesn't work for me the whole day. I have to reapply it :( but I guess for just dry skin, this will work! :)
  • actually that's the only con I have. :) hope they can make a lotion that's suited for extra dry skin :)

I really love this product cos it's worth every cent. the smell is sooo good and does last long. no sticky feeling even if the weather's humid. it's perfect for those who are in tight budget but at the same time want to purchase effective products. I know there are a lot out there that's cheap but a waste of money. so yeah, visit any watson or grocery store asap and check this out! you won't regret it. hihi. Leyende's Clean Slate

Hi guys! it's been awhile since I posted product reviews. I already did a draft for this product last month ever since I got it but my yahoo mail is acting up.. I can't seem to find the file in there. so now I'm making a new one. *toink* -__-

ANYWAY, I got this product FOR FREE. yes. F-R-E-E !!! Many thanks to the awesome sample room team! if you don't know about them yet check out and also check out my welcome blog post for them here ---> Sample Room goes live! yes its been almost 4 months!

I've always wanted to try Leyende's products. I've seen such great posts about this brand. it's an organic brand here in the Philippines. so when I saw that sample room had samples of their products, I didn't hesitated and clicked the GET A SAMPLE BUTTON RIGHT WAY! (too much excitement here) and can I just say they had the samples in FULL SIZE. talk about so much worth of your money for the shipping (which is for only 100php).

I was so excited cos I didn't have much cleansers. I also saw that this can be used as a make-up remover that's why I really wanted to try it out. all my make-up removers where oil based that's why this was sort of different to me.

ohhh I forgot to mention that in their site the sample was the bright lifting one but I guess they ran out of stock that's why they shipped out the clean slate too.

so here's what this product claims to have. (Photo from sample room's website)

So here's what I think about Leyende's clean Slate:

  • I so love the packaging! I love skin care products that has a pump in it. it makes it easier for me to use and less messy. ;)
  • Really works well on my skin! been using it for more than a month now.
  • easily removes make-up (even waterproof ones!)
  • a little amount goes a loooong way!
  • makes my skin smooth after wash.
  • didn't cause dryness to my skin
  • didn't sting my eye when I removed my eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara
  • AWFUL SMELL. (I think this is the only con for me. haha!) but seriously and with all honesty!
  • hmm.. product's kinda bulky. I think they should put a smaller pump.
  • the keychain is cute but I fin it unnecessary

I'll give this product an 8 because it really did satisfy my expectations for a cleanser. the only thing I hate about this is the SMELL. I know it's organic and it has pineapple extracts in it but sorry I'm really not fond of it :( but I love the fact that it's natural that's why there were no chemicals mixed in it.

This product costs 350php for a 100ml bottle. for me it's just fine to think it's organic too. kinda pricey for some but it never hurts to try as long as you have the moolah for it. haha! but thank God i got it for free through sample room! haha. I loooove this product and I recommend it to any skin care junkie out there! (just don't mind the smell)

So that's it! Hope I helped you guys out. I had to use it for a month to have a better review about it. :) I didn't want to review about it right away without knowing much more about the product. ;)

Thank you so much for reading my post! feel free to browse the photos below by yours truly. ;)

xoxo :)

Applied it all over the eyeliner

one wipe and it's gone!

What it's made of :)
